Privacy Policy

HelioMaps is a hunting‑property mapping app made by HelioLogix LLC ("HelioLogix," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built HelioMaps to be useful offline and to keep your data yours — we don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

• Account info. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details so you can sign in and sync across devices. You can use much of the app without an account.
• Your map content. The property boundaries, pins (stands, feeders, cameras, sign), trails, roads, tracks, and notes you create. These live on your device and, if you sign in, sync to our cloud so you don't lose them.
• Trail‑cam photos. Photos you add stay on your device. If you sign in and enable photo backup (a Pro feature), they're uploaded to our secure cloud storage.
• Location. With your permission, we use your device location to show where you are, provide on‑site weather and solunar/rut timing for your area, and — only if you turn it on — share your live location with your hunting party.
• Diagnostics. Basic, non‑identifying app and crash information to fix bugs and improve reliability.

How we use it

• To run the app's features — maps, property lines, pins, navigation, weather, solunar, and county rut dates.
• To sync and back up your content across your devices when you're signed in.
• To provide live location sharing when you choose to enable it.
• To show ads to non‑Pro users, and to keep the app stable and secure.

Location, in detail

Location is used to center the map on you, to fetch weather for your spot, to resolve your county's rut dates, and — only when you explicitly start it — to share your live position with members of your party. Live sharing is off by default, is opt‑in each time, and stops on its own. You can revoke location access anytime in your device settings.

Services we rely on

We use a small set of trusted providers to run HelioMaps. They process only what's needed for their function:

• Supabase — account sign‑in, database, and cloud storage for your synced content and photos.
• Google AdMob — advertising for non‑Pro users; may use an advertising identifier. Turning on Pro removes ads.
• National Weather Service (weather.gov) — weather forecasts; your coordinates are sent to retrieve the local forecast.
• Esri — satellite and map imagery.
• Apple / Google — app distribution and, where applicable, in‑app purchases and subscription management.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share your map content or photos with advertisers.

Your choices & rights

• Location. Grant or revoke it in your device settings; the app still works with it off (with fewer features).
• Delete your data. You can delete individual ranches and pins in the app, and you can request deletion of your account and cloud data by emailing us.
• Ads. Become a Pro user to remove ads.

Data retention & security

We keep your synced content while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

HelioMaps is intended for hunters and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date above.
